Troubleshooting

Many Internet service providers and technical departments have raised their security levels recently. Because of this, some users of Internet Explorer may receive an error message while going through the purchasing process. Usually, it looks like this:

The Merchant ID was not passed we cannot continue the order processing.

If you get that message, Internet Explorer's privacy setting is stopping the purchasing process. In many cases it just takes a few seconds to correct. Here's how:

  1. Click on the browser's "Tools" menu.
  2. Choose "Internet Options" from the dropdown list to call up the Internet Options control panel.
  3. Click the "Privacy" tab. Your Privacy setting is probably set at "Block all cookies." Cookies are small files sent to your computer; in this case they are sent by our online store to enable purchases.
  4. Move the slider down one notch to "High."
  5. Click OK and complete your purchase.
  6. Afterward, if you wish, return to the Privacy setting box and return your browser's settings to "Block all cookies."
