Thanks for downloading TimePilot’s Android App from Google Play.
The app is intended to be used with a TimePilot Extreme Blue timeclock (either with or without the enhancement of the TimePilot Enterprise software), but it can also be used by itself as a standalone timeclock system.
With this method, employees clock in and out with iButtons at the Extreme Blue clock. When it’s time for payroll, a supervisor taps an icon in the TimePilot app on their Android phone, which establishes a Bluetooth wireless connection between the clock and the phone.
The clock-in and clock-out data collected by the clock is downloaded into the app, and the phone performs all the calculations to determine the number of hours (including overtime) each employee has worked in that pay period.
You can also send the data to a free Dropbox cloud account for backup purposes. (If you want to use Dropbox for backup, we suggest that you set up a Dropbox account at www.Dropbox.com before you start setting up your app.)
The process is exactly the same as the previous method, except with just a tap on an icon you can send the data from your phone to a computer running our TimePilot Central software.
The software can merge data from multiple phones into one database, create variety of reports using that data and prepare the data for the leading payroll software programs like QuickBooks and the leading payroll services like ADP.
You’ll also need a free account at www.Dropbox.com to move the data collected by the app to your PC. We suggest that you set up the Dropbox account before you start setting up your app.
A disadvantage to using the app this way is that a supervisor must clock in and clock out their employees by tapping the appropriate buttons in the app. The phone performs all the calculations to determine the number of hours (including overtime) each employee has worked in that pay period. You can also send the data to a free Dropbox cloud account for backup purposes. If you’re using the app in this way, follow the instructions for Extreme Blue (not Extreme Blue Enhanced).
How can you use Extreme Blue and Extreme Blue Enhanced with the Android App?
