Vetro Network Mode

What's Vetro Network Mode?
The Vetro timeclock system can be used two ways: in Network Mode or in Standalone Mode.

In Network Mode, Ethernet cable is used to connect the clock to the PC or server running the TimePilot software. Clock-in and clock-out data—as well as employee names and ID numbers—and transferred to and from the clock via cable.

The Vetro Data Manager is a small program that controls the transfer of data from one side to the other. When Vetro Data Manager is running, employee clock-ins and clock-outs are sent instantly to the server and can be viewed in TimePilot Central. If Vetro Data Manager isn't running, the software and the clock can't communicate, so the clock holds the employee clock-ins and clock-outs in its memory until Vetro Data Manager is restarted.

An accessory, the TimePilot Power Over Ethernet Kit, eliminates the need to have a power outlet near the clock. Instead, power is carried through the Ethernet cable that connects the clock to your network. The kit has been tested to perform with network cable as long as 75 feet.
