I’m interested in TimePilot’s Cloud Edition, but how can I tell if my employees are at the worksite when they clock in on their phones?

The instant an employee taps the “In” or the “Out” button in the TimePilot Mobile app, the phone sends their location along with their clock-in or clock-out time to the TimePilot database in the Cloud.

It’s important to note that the app is not tracking the employee’s movements; it merely takes a “snapshot” of the phone’s location at the moment they tap the “In” or “Out” button.

In the TimePilot management software on your PC, you can set your work site’s GPS coordinates. The software will compare the GPS info where the employee clocked in with the worksite’s GPS info and tell you if they were on site. For more on how this works, see this article.
